Old Road Ride Friday 18th June

I woke up this Morning it was Beautiful day and I was going for a ride! I sprang out of bed 50 quick pushups, 50 quick situps into the shower then into the leathers and down onto the bike, I jumped on, thumbed the start button and listened as 999 cubic centimetres of Ducati roared to life beneath me, Warm up done and the neighbours now awake I roared up the drive and headed for Mount White, nothing exciting happening apart from waves from heaps of girlies on the way but once the twisty stuff appeared it was down to business, I was giving it it's all, two wheel drifts out of corners and smoking the rear wheel as I was changing up and looking for that extra traction, there is only one bike ahead of me and he was holding me up on every
corner, eventually I stuffed my bike up the inside of him on a tight corner and left him chewing on rubber as I wheelspan away

… Take that Biaggi! I thought to myself as I watched him disappear in my mirrors then as the finish was approaching my Phone started ringing, Damn it I'll ignore it, it'll just be Rossi wanting more advice!, Hang on? Why can I hear my Phone when I'm on my bike? Ahhh dammit!

It's not my phone, it's my alarm! I have to get up! But wait! I haven't got to the part where I get to Party with the Trophy
girls! Oh well, I do have a ride to go on, I looked out the window hmmmmm very overcast! Time for my morning exercise … walk down the stairs to turn on the kettle, Phew done! I'm exhausted! Back upstairs again (what a fitness freak) to shower and put on the leathers then I remembered I haven't finished putting my Bike back together from doing some work on it, out to the garage and throw it together, hmmmm the 999 of my dream is still the 750ss I bought, then off towards Carlingford to meet up with Amber and on to Berowra (I could have cut my exercise in half if I'd realised I wasn't going to make a cuppa!) where we met up with Craig … and I spent all my time on the motorway apologising to my bike for letting the tin tops past as I rode with Amber at her L plate 80kmh speed (good onya Amber for staying legal!) Once I'd fuelled up my bike we set off, nothing
too exciting, it was bloody cold, the roads were a little Patchy on the shady corners but overall were dry,

Craig and I raced off for a bit of fun on the corners then after a while waited for Amber to catch up before going again, we got to Mt White without any trouble then had a cuppa and a natter and tried to get warm. After a while we decided to head back, Amber headed straight for Sydney while Craig and I finished off the run along the Old Pacific Highway to the next big Intersection (sorry don't know the name) before doubling back and meeting Amber back at the Berowra bridge … I'm sure she had just got there! Then once again we took off, The run back to Sydney again was uneventful and I waved a goodbye to Craig and Amber as they dropped off along the way then it was back home and ready myself for another afternoon of work, altogether a very nice way to spend a gloomy looking morning!

Thanks Amber for organising it and Craig for joining us.
