Camping and Fishing Weekend away Word by Bia Even though it rained all weekend; I was impressed that no one turned back home ;-)
As soon as we left from the meeting point, started to rain so we had an easy ride on the way down (Chris?). As a novice rider, I wasn't completely relaxed riding on the rain, but I managed alright just as everybody else ;-) However, I was so scared going down on the mud, as it was something I
have never done before...
I got to put more names to more faces; and had a top night drinking, eating, chatting, laughing A LOT (Kiwi Rob! God Bless ya mate! I hope that the dog Torbie will forget you somehow!) hehehe
The musician was great. The night was quite pleasurable ;-) Drunk boys and girls didn't go to bed until very late; I'll never forget some of your drunk sleepy faces (read: The hot arse Scott) It was hard to get out of bed this morning...doh... After breaky we all packed up and miraculously the rain stopped just as we were about to get our tents down. All packed up, off we went for a short ride on dirt (hehehe). I am happy I managed to ride my bike up, but I dug a hole on the ground and made mud fly everywhere (",) trying my way out. The ride back home was nice and easy (and DRY); after the stop for lunch and catch up at the pub, we came back to our comfy world.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who made this weekend a memorable top fantabulous one.Thank you Steve for organizing the weekend away. :-) I look forward for the next one ;-) (Trip to Snow?) Cheers Bia
